Vivo V17 Pro Launching on September 20: What to Expect? Ahead of the launch, the Vivo V17 Pro has been leaked numerous times on the web. The V17 Pro is a camera-centric smartphone as it sports a total of six cameras- two on the front and four on the back. As for the rumoured camera specs, the V17 Pro’s rear cameras include a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP wide-angle sensor, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens. This setup is pretty much identical to the Realme 5 Pro smartphone that was launched in India a few days ago. Right now, we don’t have any information regarding the primary sensor of the V17 Pro. On the front, the V17 Pro is confirmed to offer a 32MP primary selfie camera and a 2MP depth sensor may accompany it. As for other specifications of the smartphone, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to sport a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an in-display scanner. Underneath, the phone is rumoured to ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo even launched the V15 Pro in an 8GB RAM variant after a few months of launch, but this time around, the company will likely bring the 8GB RAM variant alongside other variants right on September 20 itself. The phone is expected to run Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS out of the box and it may have a 4000mAh battery. It’s interesting to see Vivo going for the Snapdragon 675 SoC even for the V17 Pro as its predecessor, the Vivo V15 Pro, also arrived with the same chipset. Vivo should’ve at least gone for the Snapdragon 730 SoC which is currently powering the phones like Oppo Reno 2 and Xiaomi Redmi K20. Vivo V17 Pro: Expected Pricing in India The Vivo V15 Pro was the first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner and pop-up selfie camera to launch under Rs 30,000 in India. The starting price of the Vivo V15 Pro was Rs 28,990 and we’re expecting the same price tag for the base variant of V17 Pro as well. Right now, the pricing details of the Vivo V17 Pro are not available, but we’re expecting the phone to start at Rs 29,990, considering the same Snapdragon 675 chipset.
