Samsung W20 5G Launching on November 19: What to Expect Unlike we reported earlier, the Samsung W20 5G will not feature the new vertical folding design which Samsung teased a few weeks ago. Instead, the smartphone features identical design as the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which was well-received by the audience across the globe, including India. An official image from Samsung also confirmed the identical design of Galaxy Fold for the Samsung W20 5G. The TENAA listing revealed the full specifications of the Samsung W20 5G and they are also very much identical to the Samsung Galaxy Fold, except for the smaller battery on the upcoming foldable phone. Diving into the leaked specs by TENAA, the W20 5G will sport two displays- 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED panel with 2152×1536 resolution and 4.2:3 aspect ratio, and a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio. When unfolded, users can make use of the 7.3-inch display, and when folded, the 4.6-inch screen comes into the picture. The foldable phone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, clubbed with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The handset will run Android 9 Pie-based OneUI 2.0 out of the box. Cameras on the Samsung W20 5G include 12MP dual-pixel primary rear shooter which works in tandem with a 12MP telephoto cameras and 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The phone also packs a 10MP dual-pixel front-facing camera and 10MP cover camera with f/2.2 aperture. As for the fingerprint sensor, it’s placed on the side and the phone will weigh 276 grams. As mentioned, the Samsung W20 5G will have a smaller battery of 4135mAh when compared to the Galaxy Fold which has a 4380mAh battery. Samsung W20 5G Will Have Support for 5G Network As the name of the handset itself suggests, the Samsung W20 5G will offer support for 5G and it will be the first W series phone from the South Korean brand to come with the fifth-generation network support. Samsung already launched a 5G version of the Galaxy Fold and the W20 5G will offer the same in China. The Galaxy Fold which reached the Indian market lacks 5G support. Samsung never launched its ‘W’ series of phones outside China, so we believe it will be the same with the Samsung W20 5G as well. Samsung is also planning to launch a vertically folding phone in the near future as the company’s revealed the design of the same. Right now, we’re not sure when the vertical folding Samsung phone will go official.
