Indus Towers, a major telecom infrastructure company in India, has just revised its report on the results for Q2 FY23. On Oct 27, 2022, Indus published the quarterly report and under Section 5 - Management Discussion and Analysis on page number 14, the company has now deleted the paragraph titled ‘Govt Stake in VIL’. Indus said that this paragraph was included erroneously in the report. A strange problem that caused the Safari browser to crash while trying to search for specific words was apparently affecting iPhone and iPad users. The first three letters of some words were allegedly causing the programme to crash for users. A number of Apple devices using different iOS 16 versions appeared to be impacted by the problem. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, the two leading telecom operators in India, have been slapped with fines by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The reason behind the fines is illegally digging up new roads for laying telecom infrastructure. According to a Deccan Herald report, the telcos, including two other companies - VAC Teleinfra Solution Private Limited and Telesonic Networks Limited have illegally installed telecom towers on the footpath and tied wires to the trees....

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Jio Platforms have entered a partnership that will leverage audio-visual content created by the ICAI to acquire new skills for customers of the telecom service provider. The contract was signed by Saurabh Sancheti, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Jio Platforms Ltd., and CMA P Raju Iyer, the President of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI).
