Act Fibernet, the third largest broadband service provider in India has hiked broadband prices in the range of Rs 21 to Rs 50 across selected cities in the country. The company with a subscriber base of 1.54 million as of January 31, 2020 has issued a notification to its users on Thursday over the price hike. In Chennai, the Act Fibernet plans have been increased by Rs 21 while the company plans in Hyderabad has been hiked by Rs 25....

ACT Fibernet: The 300Mbps Offer At No Additional Cost It has to be noted that the 300 Mbps speed offer is not applicable to users on the entry-level plans as these users would get an upgrade to 100 Mbps only. The company’s entry-level plans prior to the upgrade offer were limited to 40 Mbps, 50 Mbps or 75 Mbps depending on the city. With the upgrade offer in March, users of these entry-level plans received speeds up to 100 Mbps....

Aerovoyce First Recharge Plans The company offers five first recharge plans including its basic plan priced at Rs 49 that provides users with 3600 seconds of talktime with a 28 day validity. Notably, the plan doesn’t offer any data or SMS benefit. Similarly, the company offers an Rs 89 plan that offers 9000 seconds of talktime and 10 SMS but with no data benefits. Further, Aerovoyce offers a data only first recharge plan that provides users with 2048MB of data valid for 28 days and is priced at Rs 89 while offering no SMS or call benefit....

Telecom operators have been facing huge financial distress due to massive AGR dues. A few days back, the supreme court directed all the telcos to submit an affidavit regarding AGR payments to the government and also the security arrangements.
