Right now, viewers can watch over 100 plays in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarathi, Bengali and English, across a wide range of genres including classics, thrillers, comedy and more. Some of the popular plays that will be available to customers on the new channel are Choker Bali, Ma Retire Hoti Hai, Vaastav, Sakubai and Janpath Kiss, said Airtel Digital TV in a press statement. As mentioned above, Airtel Digital TV subscribers can view Spotlight on channel no 191 and it’s a subscription-based Video on Demand service. For the first time, subscribers will be able to view the service for free for ten days, after which Airtel Digital TV will levy monthly charges of Rs 75 on their monthly TV bill. Airtel Digital TV users can cancel the Spotlight subscription at any time. How to Activate Spotlight Video on Demand Service? Airtel Digital TV allows users to activate Spotlight by giving a missed call and via the self-care portal. To activate Spotlight, customers have to just give a missed call to <8448284727> form their registered telephone number. Alternatively, they can log into their self-care portal (app or website) and activate service for free. It’s a good move from Airtel Digital TV to bring a Video on Demand service to the subscribers, but the monthly charges of Rs 75 are on the higher side. However, with the new tariff regime in place, subscribers are disappointed with increased monthly rentals.
